Band Members

Donna Minnoe

Rhythm Guitar and Lead Vocals

Donna is the very heart of the Country Mystics and with good reason. A musician by age 9, at 13 she was singing and playing guitar in her father's locally acclaimed country band. From then on she has been an integral part of the music scene in Central New York, appearing in every type of venue imaginable, from Fire Halls to Ballrooms, open-air festivals to banquets.

Included in her many accomplishments was winning first place in a performing contest in New York, then going on to sweep a nationally-televised contest against 60 other contestants in Nashville. This lead to a spot in the prestigious Nashville Talent Showcase, where she captured second place out of 20 finalists.

Closer to home, Donna has been selected as the New York State Country Music Association's Vocalist of The Year as well as Entertainer of the Year. In 2010, Donna was inducted in the Cortland Country Music Hall of Fame in Cortland, New York.

Mark Minnoe

Lead Guitar and Lead/Back-up Vocals

Mark can be seen on a typical Mystics night playing a blaze of hot lead guitar, sweet melodies in dance music, or behind his pedal steel for when that special country flavor is needed.

Mark's skillful repertoire began at the age of 12 when he became part of the Minnoe family act, The Silver Spur Band. At age 17, Mark won first place in a State-wide contest as Junior Instrumentalist and Vocalist, in addition to winning other such contests.

When Mark founded the band Southern Express, he spent the next sixteen years building the group into a first-rate, widely acclaimed group selected to be the opening act for such professional shows as Marty Martel and the Midnight Special Band and Billy Montana.

Terry Grimes

Bass and Lead/Back-up Vocals

Terry grew up around different types of music all his life. Being part of a big family, he listened to such music as Country & Western, 50's & 60's era, and Classic Rock. Terry's mother told him that when he was five years old, she would play her Charley Pride albums and he would listen and sing along with the songs being played. At the age of eleven, Terry learned a few chords on a flat top guitar and called the likes of Charley Pride, Merle Haggard, and Johnny Cash inspirations.

In 1976, at the age of fifteen, Terry played his first concert as a troubadour in Utica NY's Hanna Park in front of three thousand people. Nervous and embarrassed to sing in front of that many people, he dropped his guitar pick and stopped singing in the middle of the first song. Quickly picking up his pick and continuing where he left off, Terry's nervousness was cured!

Terry has played bass guitar for such bands as Country Gold, Union Pacific, Keg Band, Seven Bridges Band, Skyline with Cassidy Lyn, Dixie Road, and Soul Injection. While in Skyline with Cassidy Lyn, he fronted a few Nashville stars such as Bucky Covington, Billy Currington, and while with Union Pacific, he fronted such acts as Sawyer Brown.

In 2007, Terry was inducted into the Cortland Country Music Hall of Honor.

Jacki Kane

Drummer

In 1987, Jacki was fresh out of high school when a husband and wife approached her about being the drummer in their newly formed group Country Fried. A little wet behind the ears and not really sure of the "whole music thing", she accepted and traveled all over New York and Pennsylvania, and the group was well received wherever it played.

In 1989, Jacki played with Country Fried and competed in the New York State Battle of The Bands, playing at the Cortland Country Music Park for the semi-finals and then Darien Lake for the finals. Taking First Place offered the chance to go on to perform at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville. This new title opened up new opportunities for Jacki and Country Fried , including opening for the Forester Sisters at the Chemung County Fairgrounds. As an eighteen-year old drummer, Jacki had a wonderful and exciting experience opening for such artists as Mickey Gilley, Bill Anderson, Kathy Mattea, Conway Twitty, and Loretta Lynn.

Jacki has also worked as a freelance drummer, taking in different styles and familiarizing herself with different genres of music from Rock & Roll to Polka, but found herself returning to Country music when Georgia native and Nashville Recording Artist Rubin Everidge asked her to become a SanAnTones. With the SanAnTones, she's played for private parties, Army reunions, wedding receptions, nursing facilities, community parks, American Legions, Moose Clubs, Elk Clubs, etc.

In 2000, Jacki was inducted into the New York State Country Music Hall of Fame.
